HAR-BER VILLAGE MUSEUM is a pioneer-era village and history museum located on the shores of Grand Lake o’ the Cherokees in Oklahoma. Visitors experience the area’s history and ecology through self-guided tours. Antiques, collectibles and reproductions are displayed in exhibitions representing the mid-1800s to the early 1900s in the local four-state region (Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri and Kansas).
Several of the Village’s HISTORIC BUILDINGS were relocated to the grounds, including a schoolhouse, jail and 16 log cabins. Other log structures were built to house collections and are typical for the mid-to-late 1800s—a courthouse, a bank, a stagecoach inn and a church built with bricks hand-made before the Civil War. Other replicated buildings include a mercantile, jail and hanging gallows, a doctor’s and a dentist’s office, print shop, post office, drug store and more.
Greg and Patti Combow met each other at a Skating Rink and ever since then their goal has been to open their very own skating rink. In 2015 they purchased and renovated the Grove, Oklahoma “roller rink”. Always a fan of sci-fi it was an easy decision to theme the new rink as a retro-sci-fi rink. Months of work later the “roller rink” was finished, each wall hand-painted with black-lights in-place and black-light carpeting the rink was finished.
Now Rocket Skating Plus is the best family-oriented fun in Grove, Oklahoma. From every-day skating to holiday events and birthday parties there is something for everyone!
